Who We Are
Hello! My name is Beth Sackville. I am an AHPRA registered physiotherapist, and soon to be APPTA registered child play therapist, and mother of one gorgeous girl.
In 2005 I graduated from La Trobe University Melbourne with a BA in Physiotherapy. I practiced for over 15 years, specialising in clinical Pilates and lymphatic drainage therapy.
In 2021 I graduated from Deakin University, Melbourne, Master of Child Play Therapy. I am looking forward to working with children and families seeking support for mental and emotional well-being.
I am able to work in conjunction with other mental health services, professionals and educational services, as well as NDIS funded clients.
MY Child Play Therapy Mission Statement
Our goal at MY Child Play Therapy is to provide an ethical mental health service in line with the Australasian Pacific Play Therapy Association’s (APPTA) clinical competencies and practice standards. M.C.P.T. aims to uphold the ethical practice guidelines and embody the personal qualities of a play therapist, as outlined by APPTA. The rights of the child and their confidentiality is of the utmost importance and will be maintained. We understand that all children and families are different and aim to support children to find their “Meaningful You”.
A “Meaningful You”, is the version of yourself that is able to experience life in a meaningful way. This occurs through an ability for self-awareness, self-confidence, self-expression and self-reflection.
